OnAir Solutions grew from being a division of Dingbat Technology to being its own commercial entity leaving Dingbat Technology to be the core infrastructure provider to its 3 divisions, “Logitek Australia”, “iTkey” and now “OnAir Solutions”. The existing infrastructure Dingbat Technology provides to Logitek Australia and iTkey forms the operational base for OnAir Solutions.

  • Lead-free repair facility with capability to do rework down to component level
  • (including surface mount components and small multi-pin chips).
  • Warehouse for storage of incoming systems and equipment awaiting shipment to customer
  • Floor space to enable a full system builds to be constructed and pre-tested in-house, including setup of studio furniture, equipment room racks and pre-terminated Main Distribution Frame

Paul Dengate – Managing Director
Paul is the Managing Director and owner of both OnAir Solutions and its infrastrcture provider Dingbat Technology. He has experience with Logitek from some of the first systems deployed in Australia. He led the configuration and design of the original ABC Ballarat system and has product knowledge recognised by Logitek as world-class and only equalled by senior staff at Logitek HQ.

Paul’s other experience includes IT networking; Windows servers; radio & TV satellite networking and master control; broadcast installation; and management.

Paul originally obtained a BA Comm (Broadcast Journalism) in 1996 and worked as an announcer in his early career. He holds a number of Microsoft certifications on server and database products and is currently completing a Masters degree in IT Management. Combining operations and technical knowledge gives Paul a great insight into systems design and support. Paul has a high level of attention to detail, making him well suited to configuring and understanding complex systems.

Chris Dredge – General Manager
Chris has been a Sales Executive in the broadcast Industry since 1996 and successfully represented manufacturers from the Studio to the Transmission Antenna in Radio / Television and related industries.

After graduating from a BA Comm (Theatre / Media) in 1992, Chris spent several years in Television Editing and Live Audio / Video before making the switch to a Sales and Marketing role.

Chris and Paul have known each other for many years in both a Customer / Supplier capacity as well as colleagues working together on projects.

Over his career, Chris has been responsible for several major deals including the ABC’s initial decision to purchase Logitek (which later resulted in Logitek Australia) and the market domination of the APT Audio Codec’s though successful large deals with Telstra, ABC and most major radio broadcasters in Australia. Chris is dedicated to his manufacturers’ products and prides himself on finding the applications and working closely with the customer and manufacturer to achieve the best outcome for all.

Keith Edmondson – Sales & Projects Manager, Logitek Australia

Keith Edmondson has been doing projects for 39 years, ever since joining the BBC at age 19 and being assigned to small group called Special Projects. Since then he has involved in projects for companies such as Ampex, Sony in Europe and Australia and LSE here in Australia. He has managed projects building TV and Radio studios and OB vehicles all around the world. Coming to Australia in 1969 he was first employed building Channel 10 Perth television studios and later was involved in building and then running the operation of the AIM complex for the ABC.

 

Although at times irascible, his vision and passion for projects and achieving the “perfect” solution for the client makes him invaluable in the Logitek Australia team. Keith has a real flair for design work, in particular furniture and studio/building layouts.
